- A former Nintendo employee has discussed the apparent filtrations of Nintendo Switch 2
- He said that retailers probably know “nothing” about the price or product launch date
- He added that retailers will probably learn the details at the same time we do.
Be careful with players who love with leaks, it seems that we should not put many actions in any retailer when it comes to the potential price or the release date of Nintendo Switch 2.
Speaking in a recent episode of the Podcast Kit & Krysta, a former Nintendo sales leader discussed the many online listings of several retailers who seem to give us an idea of how much the Nintendo Switch 2 could cost.
When asked how much retailers would know about the price of Nintendo Switch 2 at this stage, he simply replied that they would not know “nothing, certainly not the price” and “almost surely there is no launch date rather than perhaps a room “
He then described the retailers like Walmart Canada as among “the last people who will know something about the price” and mentioned that, while some companies can speculate or guess: “They do not have that information.”
“There is no way that even as Target in the United States knows something,” he continued. “No one will know anything until we all know the release date. When we all know the release date, it is probably when the retailers will know the release date […] Or maybe as a week or two in advance. “
Speculation about the price of Nintendo Switch 2 has been running rampant since it was revealed for the first time. We are predicting that around $ 399.99 / £ 349.99 / AU $ 699.95 will fall somewhere. This would do it a little more expensive than the Nintendo Switch Oled, which was launched at $ 349.99 / £ 309.99 / AU $ 539.95, to give an account of the improved specifications, but not a figure that we believe would put a price to most of the Nintendo’s most informal audience.
In an investor questions and answers, Nintendo also confirmed that the price of the Nintendo Switch 2 will be aligned with the “affordable prices that customers expect”, which we suspect what an online price means with our prediction. Of course, this is pure speculation at this time. We will probably have to wait for Nintendo Switch 2 Direct on April 2 for official confirmation.
