The advent of mobile ticketing has largely forced paper tickets to go the way of landlines, dial-up Internet access and other commonly used products that technology has been eliminating.
A lifelong Los Angeles Dodgers fan hopes the team can at least hear him so he can continue printing his tickets.

Errol Segal, 81, told NBC Los Angeles on Friday that the Dodgers told him he won’t be able to buy paper tickets for the entire season. He was able to buy some paper tickets on Thursday.
Segal told the station that he doesn’t know how to use a computer and only uses a flip phone.
He told the station it wouldn’t have been a big deal if he had been a season-ticket holder for just a few years, but said he has been a season-ticket holder for the past five decades.

“If I had the tickets for one year, five years, 10 years, that’s another story,” he told the station. “I’ve had these tickets for fifty years. They threw me under the bus.”
Segal said the team offered to buy his tickets back, but he wouldn’t listen.
Segal told the station that he hopes the Dodgers reconsider their stance. Pak Gazette Digital has reached out to the Dodgers for comment.
The team has an FAQ sheet on the team website, showing fans how they could access their Dodgers tickets through the MLB Ballpark app. One of the questions listed is: “Can I still print my Dodger tickets at home?”

“No, to improve security and reduce the risk of ticket fraud, paper-at-home tickets in any form are no longer accepted for entry to Dodger Stadium,” the response read.
