Tony Gilroy has directed Rogue one and Andor. But after years of working in the Star Wars Universe, he said he would step back from the franchise for a while and focus on other projects.
“I think I have contributed enough for the moment; I think I would like to do something else for a while,” he said THR. “Never say, but at this moment I would like to return and direct a movie.”
He also looked back in his work in Andor, saying: “I do not think it is an exaggeration to say that this is the most important thing in what I will have the opportunity to work. It is a large part of my life.”
“We made eight films in five years, that is what we really did. This is how we thought it” with the way the episodes are broken, “the actor continued. Being in this universe and belonging to this family and being part of a project that people care so much, is something very special.
“I cannot compare this with any other experience in my life: they have been 10 years of being blessed to work on something that is important for people,” Tony concluded.
