Washington: The owner of the American dog was shot by his pet after he jumped on his bed and a loaded weapon left, police said Wednesday.

The man, from Memphis, Tennessee, was asleep with his partner when he was shot Monday morning, escaping with a grass to his left thigh that was treated in the hospital.

The dog, a one -year -old Pit bull called Oreo, “stuck in the trigger and ended up hitting the trigger,” said a police incident report.

He did not specify the type of weapon triggered and registered the incident as “accidental injury.”

While armed violence is prolific in the United States, cases of animals that trigger humans are rare.

Two years ago, a German shepherd dog shot and killed a 30 -year -old man in Kansas after he stepped on a hunting rifle.

In 2018, a 51-year-old man from Iowa was shot in the leg for his mixture of Pit Bull-Labrador.

Local news station Fox 13 Memphis cited the victim of Tennessee, who was not named, saying he was sleeping when the gun shot.

“The dog is a playful dog, and he likes to jump and things like that, and went out,” he said.

Your incident lesson: “Keep security or use a trigger block.”
