DPM Dar joins SCO FMS to meet with President XI


The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, represented Pakistan on Tuesday during a joint call of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

President XI, in his speech to the visiting foreign ministers, stressed the importance of regional cooperation under the SCO Marco, an organism that encompasses the mass of Eurasian land and represents a significant part of the global population.

Apart from the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OCS, the Deputy Prime Minister also celebrated bilateral meetings with his homologues of Kyrguistan and Kazakhstan.

At a meeting with Kyrguistan Foreign Minister Kulubaev Zheenbek Moldakanovic, in the Great Tianjin Hall, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to the long Pakistan-Kirguicán relationship and expressed interest in expanding cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

Separately, DPM Dar met with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazajeokh, Murat Nurtleu. The two leaders reiterated their resolution to deepen bilateral ties and improve collaboration in regional and multilateral forums.

Dar also held meetings with the Foreign Ministers of other Member States of the SCO outside the joint call with President XI.

“Valuable opportunity to exchange points of view and reinforce regional cooperation during these challenging times,” he published in X after his meetings with the foreign ministers of Iran, Uzbekistan and Belarus.
