Islamabad: The Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, said on Monday that India was trying to arm against water against Pakistan, promising that Islamabad would not allow any violation of its sovereignty or territorial integrity.

Speaking at an event that marks the 52th anniversary of the Institute of Strategic Studies of Islamabad (ISSI), Dar said that India was trying to retain 240 million Pakistani as hostages through what he described as “water terrorism”, a reference to the possession of New Delhi in the abandonment of the Water Treaty of the Indo.

“India cannot impose his will on Pakistan and must reconsider his policies,” said the Deputy Prime Minister. He warned that India’s actions, including any attempt to suspend the Water Treaty of the Indo unilaterally, would be unacceptable and counterproductive.

Dar accused India of aggression under the pretext of a false and form operation, referring to the pulwama incident, and said that Pakistan had effectively and immediately responded at that time.

He stressed that Pakistan is still committed to defending his sovereignty and will not allow his rights under international agreements to be compromised. “India wants to use water as a weapon, but Pakistan remains firm in the protection of her interests,” he said.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also reiterated the position of principles of Pakistan in Kashmir, qualifying it as a worldwide recognized dispute. “A peaceful resolution of the subject of Kashmira is essential for stability in the region,” he said, while accusing India of serious violations of international law.

Give welcomed the recent Alto El Fuego between Iran and Israel, reaffirming Pakistan’s constant support to Tehran’s legal position. He also urged that Iran’s nuclear problem is solved through dialogue.

When commenting on the situation in Gaza, the Foreign Minister condemned the ongoing humanitarian crisis, expressing a deep concern for the atrocities committed in the besieged Palestinian Enclave. “Pakistan is seriously concerned about the deterioration of the situation in the Middle East,” he added.

‘Modi’s political days are numbered’

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, in an exclusive conversation with Geographical newsHe said that the ruling of the Arbitration Court is “very clear” and does not leave room for unilateral decisions of Pakistan or India under the Treaty of Indo’s waters.

He said that the verdict becomes clear that none of the parties can make any movement that undermines the fundamental basis of the treaty. “We had anticipated that India would resort to intransigence,” he said, adding that after the defeat of India in arbitration, it has become increasingly difficult for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to accept such decisions.

When commenting on the political future of Modi, Asif commented: “I think that Narendra Modi’s political days are numbered.”

When asked about the recent Indian military admission of India, that his plane had been shot down, Asif said: “It is possible that India has only realized the losses of the aircraft after a delay.”

Referring to his recent participation in the Meeting of Defense Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Asif said there was no tension in the environment despite the presence of Indian officials.

“The SCO operates under established rules. You cannot respond to another person’s speech once he ends,” he explained.

“There is no opportunity to criticize another person’s comments. When [India] They were not allowed to criticize, they refused to sign the joint statement, ”said Asif.

In addition, he said that the countries present at the OCS meeting supported Pakistan’s position. “The position of India had no foundation and was founded on lies,” he said. “He did not find support in the International Forum.”
