Pakistan has formally recommended the president of the United States, Donald Trump, for the Nobel Peace Prize 2026, citing his role in the deactivity of tensions between Pakistan and India earlier this year.

According to the government, the measure recognizes the efforts of President Trump to achieve a high fire between the two neighbors with nuclear weapons and to highlight the Kashmir dispute on the international stage.
Development occurs after the government’s announcement, made almost a day before on social networks, of its decision to formally nominate Trump for the most prestigious peace award in the world.
The unprovoked aggression of India against Pakistan
In a statement issued in X, the Federal Government said that the international community had witnessed “unprovoked and illegal Indian aggression”, which described as a “serious violation” of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan.
The attack, according to the statement, resulted in the “tragic loss of innocent lives, including women, children and the elderly.”
In response, Pakistan launched the Bunyan-Mou-Marsososoos operation, a countermeated “measures, resolved and military.” The operation emphasized Pakistan, was executed to restore deterrence and defend its territorial integrity while “consciously avoids civil damage.”
Trump helps reduce the worsening situation
In the midst of high tensions, the statement pointed out that President Trump “demonstrated a great strategic forecast and star stay” by diplomatically involving Islamabad and New Delhi.
This effort, he added, helped reduce the situation that worsens quickly, said a stop the fire and avoided a broader regional conflict.
The Government acclaimed Trump’s actions as those of a “genuine pacifier” with a firm commitment to resolve conflicts through dialogue.
Trump offers to solve the Kashmir
The Government also recognized the previous “sincere” offers “of Trump to help solve the Kashmira dispute, reiterating that the decades problem is in the heart of regional instability.
He added that “lasting peace in southern Asia would remain difficult” without the implementation of the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
The statement concluded by underlining Pakistan’s admiration for the “pragmatic diplomacy and the effective construction of Trump”, and adds that the country has hope that its efforts will contribute to a broader regional and global stability, particularly in the midst of the wakedable crises in the Middle East, including the situation in Gaza and the tensions that involve Iran.
The heaviest fight in decades between Pakistan and India was caused by an attack on April 22 in Jammu and Kashmira (Iiojk) of the Indians who killed 26 people, most of them tourists. New Delhi blamed Pakistan for the attack, a position denied by Islamabad.
In response to the cross-border strikes of India, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyan-Mou-Marsoos and demolished six Indian Air Force planes, including three raffles.
The two countries, after four days of armed conflict, agreed to stop the fire on May 10.
Although Pakistan has praised and accredited President Trump for his role in Alto El Fuego, which he himself has highlighted on multiple occasions, India has denied any participation of the United States.
However, the president of the United States is registering its position and has even offered media in the long -standing background dispute between the two countries, a position also highlighted by the United States Department of State.
Trump reiterates the Nobel Peace Prize desire
Speaking to journalists in Morristown, New Jersey yesterday, President Trump said he should have won the Nobel Peace Prize four or five times.
He complained that he did not receive a Nobel Peace Prize for his work to normalize the economic ties between Serbia and Kosovo during his first administration.
“They should give me the Nobel Prize for Rwanda, and if you look, the Congo, or you could say Serbia, Kosovo, you could say many of them. The big one is India and Pakistan. He should have achieved it four or five times. They will not give it because they only give it to the liberals,” he said.
The Peace Prize honors efforts in the control and disarmament of weapons, the negotiation of peace, democracy and human rights, and work aimed at creating a better organized and more peaceful work, according to its official website.
