The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, will embark on an official three -day visit to China from Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday.
The visit reaches the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and is part of the high -level exchanges between the two nations.
During his trip, Ishaq will celebrate “in -depth discussions” with Wang Yi on the regional situation in southern Asia and its implications for peace and stability, according to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two parties will also review the complete spectrum of the Bilateral Relations of Pakistan-China and will exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.
“The visit underlines the shared commitment of Pakistan and China to further deepen its strategic cooperative association for all climate,” the statement said.
Conversations are expected to focus on regional security, economic cooperation and the advance of the China-Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC).
According to the sources, ISHAQ will give consultations with senior Chinese officials about the current conflict situation between Pakistan and India. High -level officials are expected to accompany the Vice Prime Minister during the visit.
“China has expressed full support for Pakistan in the face of Indian aggression,” said a diplomatic source, adding that discussions will focus on regional stability and diplomatic coordination.
The visit, which coincides with the presence of Afghan Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, in China, is expected to include conversations about broader regional security, including developments in Afghanistan.
