The president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Dr. As Hussain, has strongly denied the rumors that circulate on the president’s health status.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Ziauddin Clifton hospital on Saturday, Dr. also dismissed the reports and images that circulated on social networks and Indian news channels such as “false and deceitful.”
According to Dr. Asi, the condition of President Zardari has improved significantly and is expected to be discharged from the hospital within a day or two.
“I regret that the president without foundation on the health of the president are propagated by the Indian media and social platforms,” said Dr. Asi asi. “President Zardari was in Nawabshah last Saturday after traveling from Islamabad. He called me eid day saying he felt bad.”
Dr. also explained that the president later reported chills and fever. Due to the limited medical facilities in Nawabshah, Dr. Also traveled there that night and organized that the president was transferred to Karachi on Monday, where he was admitted to the hospital and underwent medical tests.
“The evidence confirmed that President Zardari had hired Covid-19,” Dr. Asi would. “Fortunately, his condition is much better now. A senior doctors is monitoring him and should be discharged soon.”
He stressed that COVID-19 still exists in Pakistan, although antiviral medications are now available. Dr. also addressed the misinformation that has spread, saying: “The president has high blood pressure and diabetes, but there is no reason for panic. Political opponents can say what they want, and India is already our adversary, but this type of propaganda is inappropriate.”
When asked about the authenticity of video images that circulate online, Dr. also replied: “If the president publishes or not any hospital footage is his political decision. All clips on social networks are false.”
Dr. also concluded by urging the public not to believe in the information not verified and assured that President Zardari is receiving the best medical care.
