Draft of new rules of the Supreme Court prepared

Islamabad:

A Judges Committee ended the draft of the new rules of the Supreme Court that include the digitalization and automation of the judicial system, a statement issued on Thursday said Thursday.

A four -member committee, formed under the direction of the President of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Yahya Afridi, has proposed amendments to the rules of the Supreme Court, 1980.

The committee includes Judge Shahid Waheed, Judge Irfan Saadat Khan, Judge Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Judge Aqed Ahmed Abbasi. Interestingly, the judges of SC Senior, Judge Syed Mansoor Ali Shah and Judge Munib Akhta, are not part of the four -member committee.

The Committee has recommended the introduction of digitalization and an automated system in the procedural framework of the Supreme Court. He has also sought suggestions of lawyers and judges to improve judicial matters.

The draft has been presented to the President of the Supreme Court and other Judges of the Supreme Court for greater deliberation.

According to the declaration, new reforms will be introduced in the Supreme Court to guarantee rapid and transparent justice. The final draft will appear before the full court for approval.
