Dreame makes some of the best robot vacuums out there and I just got a look at their new flagship model at CES 2026. It looks amazing. It’s called Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete and it comes with all the bells and whistles you’d expect from this brand.
But it’s a little hard for me to get too excited about it. Part of that is because Dreame has set the bar high. We loved this robovac’s predecessor: the X50 Ultra. The X60 has many of the same core features, albeit with tweaks and improvements.
I’m talking: a navigation disc that can be removed to sit flush with the top of the robot when it detects that it is entering a low-height space; small stilts that propel the robot up and over high room thresholds; A spring that can wash the mop pads with hot water and dry them as well.
go short
where the x60 is significantly It differs from its predecessor in its height. Dreame has slimmed down this guy and now claims it’s “the slimmest robot vacuum in the industry.” At just 3.13 inches/7.95 cm tall (compared to the X50’s 3.5 inches/8.9 cm), that could well be true.
It’s certainly right at the slimmer end of the market, which is great news if you want to be able to hide it under low furniture. But it’s just a hair shorter than the best Roborock has to offer: I measured the Roborock Saros 10 at 3.1 inches/8 cm, and that’s rounded to 1 decimal, so there’s really nothing to it.
What other improvements can you expect over the previous X50? Perhaps the most notable changes are on the bench. Dreame has increased the mop’s cleaning temperature to a whopping 212°F / 100°C, i.e. the boiling point. That seems a little extreme to me, although I suppose it really will leave everything squeaky clean.
Dreame has targeted pet owners with an unusual two-part detergent dispenser that contains not only the usual cleaning fluid but also a specialized one to eliminate pet odors.
The navigation system of the X60 Max Ultra Complete has been improved and the threshold crossing limit has been increased. The ‘Dirt Detection’ mode can now apparently spy on and respond to less obvious dirt like pet hair and pale liquids. Of course, the suction power has also seen a new boost.
I’m excited to see how these updates work in a real-world scenario when we get our hands on a model to test.
The new bot will have a list price of $1,699.99 (approximately £1,265 / AU$2,540, although actual prices in the UK and Australia are TBC, along with availability and release dates). I suspect it won’t normally sell at that price. Pre-orders are now open in the US and discounts are now available.
