For Dropbox password users, it is time to take a look at the best password administrators and find a new service to use, after the cloud storage company revealed that it will soon suspend the service.
The end of the service for Dropbox passwords will be on October 28, 2025, which gives users enough time to find a new credential administrator to meet their needs.
In the announcement, Dropbox said he was discontinuing the tool, “as part of our efforts to focus on improving other features on our central product.”

Dropbox Passwords users will still have enough time to access their stored user names, passwords and stored information on the export credit card until October 28, but first there will be some key changes.
On August 28, 2025, the password administrator will become only mobile devices and through the browser extension. You cannot add more credentials or use the autocomplement function from this date.
On September 11, the mobile application will depreciate and will no longer be available for use. Your data will remain available through browser extension.
The fateful date of October 28 will see all Dropbox password data removed safely and the dark web monitoring function will stop working.
In its blog post, Dropbox has provided key information on how to export your application data and browser extension. Mobile application users can follow these instructions to export their data:
- Open the Dropbox Passwords mobile application.
- Touch (configuration).
- Touch the export.
- Touch export to confirm.
To export browser extension data, do the following:
- Open the extension of the Dropbox Passwords browser.
- Click on your avatar (profile or initial image) in the lower left corner.
- Click Preferences.
- Click on the tab.
- Click Export.
- Click Export to confirm.
