Duchess Sophie and Prince Edward’s private meeting with Andrew: the truth revealed

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been living in exile for the past two months since he was expelled from his Windsor estate, Royal Lodge, by order of King Charles.

Members of the royal family had publicly kept their distance from the disgraced former prince, but in a surprising turn of events, Prince Edward and Duchess Sofia were the first to reach out to Andrew.

The former Duke of York has been living at Sandringham since it became Charles’s private property, to avoid further fuss from taxpayers. Before officially moving into Marsh Farm, Sophie and Edward visited their temporary accommodation Wood Farm for a ‘wellbeing check’.

It was previously reported that there were some complaints as the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were forced to stay in the main house as Andrew occupied Wood Farm, the holiday rental for the royals during Easter and other key events.

However, royal sources ruled out daily mail that there was some tension between Edward and Andrew over the agreement.

Duchess Sophie and Prince Edward reportedly had dinner with Andrew one night and talked things over. They “feel sorry” for him and how things have gone downhill for him. Additionally, they expressed concern about Andrew’s “fragile mental state” due to recent events.

“They feel sorry for him, but of course that doesn’t excuse his behavior,” the source stressed. “It’s a difficult balancing act to support him without condoning what he’s engaged in.”

Edward has tried to reason with him and has pointed out that Andrew will never be able to return to the royal fold. Only time will tell if Andrew has understood everything he has been told or if he continues to deceive himself.
