In another accident of a Dumper truck in the district of Thatta, two men and a child who rode on a motorcycle died Sunday in Thatta-Sujawal Road. The deceased, Irshad Shah, Karo Aijaz Shah and Shahnaz, daughter of Ameer Shah, were residents of Bulri Shah Kareem Taluka from the district of Tando Muhammad Khan. The truck ran on the motorcycle, completely destroying the two -wheeled vehicle.
This was the second identical incident in about a week, since a Dumper truck had hit three young people on the same path, killing them all. Muhammad Bux Khoso, a local resident who directed a protest after the accident, told the police and the media that Dumper’s driver escaped with his vehicle after hitting the motorcycle.
However, he added, local men on several motorcycles chased the truck, stopped him and caught his driver, identified as Mala Marwat Khan, who was later delivered to the police. Police confiscated the truck and stopped the suspect, but the FIR of the incident could not register the night. The bodies were transferred to the Makli Government Hospital for Postmortem. The protesters accused the police for allowing trucks and their rebel drivers to roam the city while putting citizens’ lives at risk.
