Dwayne Johnson talks about wrestling months after his return to the ring.
The former wrestler admits he felt like his body needed a lot of work to come back when he attended WrestleMania40 in April.
“It’s incredibly difficult,” Johnson, 52, tells PEOPLE at the opening of Cirque du Soleil’ Auana in Honolulu.
“The training becomes really extensive and the training camp becomes extensive,” he added in a statement on Tuesday.
“So I went [to] training camp for WrestleMania, which was an eight- to nine-week training camp,” he adds. “It’s very fast-paced and luckily I was able to get through it all.”
Dwayne then talked about his upcoming projects, including Red One and the animated sequel Moana 2.
“Red One is special. “It’s our little Christmas movie, as I like to call it, but also in Moana 2, it’s really been this incredible global acceptance of our Polynesian culture and how truly amazing it is,” he notes.
Johnson tells PEOPLE: “So it’s a good time.”
