- Techland has discussed how narration is forming in dying light: the beast
- The developer is eliminating branch options
- This is an effort to create a starting point for the future of the series
The Techland developer will move away from the narrative options promoted by the players for the next Mooring light: the beast. But it seems that there will be a very good reason for that, at least in relation to the protagonist of the game: Kyle Crane.
In an interview with Gamesradar, Dying light The franchise director, Tymon Smektała, explained: “We wanted this to be a canon entrance in the series. We are looking back to what happened to Kyle Crane in the first game, and we want to tell the next chapter of the story.”
“One thing that Mooring Light: The beast DOE is to hint the future of the series, “he adds.” We really wanted to make sure that at the end of the game, Kyle Crane is where we want it to be, so we decided to go back from the narrative elections of Dying light 2“
In addition, Techland is likely to be looking for the future of the Dying light franchise with what happens to the conclusion of The beast.
While no juicy history fell fall, Smektała told Techradar Gaming: “We definitely have, I would say, some Marvel [style] Scenes subsequent to credit that insinuate some things that will happen in the future. “
Smektała also provided a greater context about the decision to get away from the narrative branch options, adding: “If we had given the players agency in terms of how they want to shape the story, then it will be more difficult for us to have Kyle where we want us to be at the end of the game.
“So this is a very canonical story of Kyle that responds to everything that happens before and after the events of Dying light “.
