Eagles fan leads vile tirade at Packers fan during wild card game, video on social media shows

Lincoln Financial Field has hosted Philadelphia Eagles home games for more than two decades.

During that time, the football stadium located at the South Philadelphia Sports Complex has earned a reputation as one of the toughest places in the NFL for opposing teams to visit. Eagles fans regularly flock to what locals affectionately call “the Linc” and create a raucous atmosphere.

But during Sunday’s wild-card round game against the Green Bay Packers, an Eagles fan was seen relentlessly berating a woman wearing Packers gear.

Video that surfaced on social media shows an unidentified fan in a green Eagles jacket directing vile comments toward the Packers fan sitting on the upper deck of the stadium.

At one point, the man appears to call the woman “dumb.”

“What it’s like to go to Philly just trying to support your team…” one social media user captioned a video showing at least part of the ugly exchange. “No provocation, no need. Packers Twitter, help me and find this guy… this is not right.”

The video has garnered more than 18 million views on X, formerly known as Twitter, as of Monday afternoon.

Another man in the video tells the Eagles fan to stop insulting the woman, to which the attacker responds by saying, “She’s an ugly, dumb bitch. Are you going to do something? Fuck off and watch the game”. “.

The woman who was the source of the Eagles fan’s apparent distress remained mostly calm throughout the video. However, she made a “boo-hoo” gesture at one point.

It’s unclear if the Eagles fan will face any punishment from the team.

As for the game itself, quarterback Jalen Hurts returned to action after a two-game absence following a concussion diagnosis. The two-time Pro Bowler threw a pair of touchdowns to help Philadelphia to a 22-10 victory over Green Bay.

The Eagles await results from Monday night’s game between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams. The game was moved to Glendale, Arizona, due to ongoing wildfires in the Los Angeles area. The winner of the final game of the wild card round will travel to Philadelphia this weekend to face the Eagles in the divisional round.
