SAN FRANCISCO – If the Philadelphia Eagles don’t play for a Super Bowl, Nick Sirianni is apparently on the bench.
The Eagles’ head coach’s job appeared to be in jeopardy last year after a disappointing end to the 2023 season, until they won the Super Bowl.
This season, however, the Eagles didn’t look like the same team and that resulted in the firing of offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo after one season.

Sirianni remains safe despite the protest, but two young Eagles stars don’t even bother to pay attention to the noise.
“We play in a city that gets a lot of media coverage. Some good, some bad. Probably more bad than good. We have to find something good to write about,” Cooper DeJean told Pak Gazette Digital. “Just block out the outside noise and go to work.”
While Sirianni may seem tough on everyone’s television screens, DeJean said he’s “one of the guys.”

“He’s one of the guys,” Reed Blankenship added. “He listens to us, he hangs out with us, he’s a very funny person. I don’t think people realize that, but he’s very calm.”
The Eagles’ offense ranked 23rd in yards and 19th in points per game this season after finishing eighth and seventh in those categories the year before.
Once again, there was also talk of friction between AJ Brown and others, including Sirianni. Sirianni and Brown had a lively conversation after Brown dropped a pass during the team’s playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers last month.

The Eagles’ pattern over the past four seasons has been Super Bowl appearance, wild card exit, Super Bowl win, wild card exit. Perhaps history could repeat itself, but expect the Philadelphia media to be up in arms if it doesn’t.
