Eau now offers a 5 -year visa to Pakistani

Karachi:

The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (EAU) in Pakistan, Hamad Obaid al Zaabi, has announced that problems related to the visa have been solved between the two countries. Pakistani citizens can now obtain a five -year visa, according to a press release issued by the Governor’s Chamber on Tuesday.

Al Zaabi, accompanied by Consul General Dr. Bakheet Ateeq al-Remeithi, met with the governor of Sindh Karmran Tessori in the governor’s house. During the meeting, Al Zaabi invited the governor to visit the Visas Center at the Eau Consulate in Karachi.

In December last year, a panel of the Senate had been informed that all Pakistani travelers to the EAU should undergo the review and verification of the police. This development occurred after the US authorities increased the scrutiny of Pakistani visitors due to concerns about participation in criminal activities, including begging.

Weeks later, at another meeting on January 9, the Senate’s Permanent Committee on Pakistani abroad and the development of human resources were informed that the Visas of the EAU had been “closed not officially” because of the concerns that some Pakistani, after reaching visa visas, were being resorted to beg.

“Visa’s problems have been solved, Pakistani can get a five -year visa,” the governor’s press release quoted the ambassador to Zaabi as declaring during the meeting. He added that the ambassador invited the governor to visit the Eau Visas Center in Karachi.

On the occasion, according to the press release, Tessori thanked the EAU sent by the investment of his country in the province, especially in Karachi. The ambassador praised the current projects under the governor’s initiative in Governor House.

Later, the Eau envoy planted a offspring as part of the tree planting campaign in the governor’s house and raised national flags of both countries. He also recorded his impressions in the Book of Visitors, the press release concluded.
