LAHORE:
The ECP has issued a revised notification for the by-elections in the vacant Punjab Assembly seat PP-167 Lahore, announcing changes in the election date and election calendar.
According to the notification, voting for the by-election will now take place on February 4, instead of the previously announced date of February 8. Candidates will be able to submit their nomination papers from January 7 to 9, while the initial list of candidates will be published on January 9.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will end on January 12. The final list of candidates along with allocation of election symbols will be released on January 24, the notification said.
