ECP summons Omar Ayub in 4th


Islamabad:

The Pakistan Electoral Commission (ECP) has summoned the opposition leader in the Omar Ayub National Assembly on June 4 in a disqualification reference presented against him by his rival of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N).

The ECP will listen to the reference against the PTI leader on June 4 at 10 am the case against Ayub was brought by its rival Babar Nawaz candidate. The candidate backed by PML-N in General Elections 2024 sent a reference to the president of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, who sent it to the ECP.

Babar Nawaz claimed that Omar Ayub had not revealed all his assets in the details sent to the ECP. He requested that Omar Ayub be disqualified under article 62, 63.
