Islamabad:
The Pakistan Electoral Commission (ECP) expressed on Tuesday the disappointment for the prolonged delay in the elections of the local government of Punjab, summoned the secretary of the Department of the Local Government of Punjab in person and scheduled a complete bank hearing for October 8.
The electoral supervisor met under the presidency of the Sikandar Electoral Commissioner Sultan Raja to review the status of local government elections in Punjab.
During the meeting, the ECP secretary informed the commission, stating that the possession of local governments in Punjab had ended in 2021.
