Educational institutes throughout Sindh to remain closed on March 22

The Department of Education and School Literacy (SELD) SENDH has announced a holiday on Saturday, March 22, YOM-E-HAZRAT ALI (RA).

According to a notification issued on Tuesday, all public and private schools and universities will remain closed on this day (Ramazan 21).

The notification, which was also shared in X, cited the decision made during the Subcommittee meeting of the Education Management Committee held on November 28, 2024.

He declared that all educational institutions under the administrative control of the Department of School Education and Literacy, a government of Sindh, will remain closed on March 22, 2025 for YOM-E-HAZRAT ALI (RA).

Meanwhile, Muslims of all Pakistan are observing YOM-E-ALI (RA) with devotion, while the authorities have implemented strict security measures to guarantee public safety.

In Karachi, the central procession will begin in the Nishtar Park and will conclude in Imambargah Hussainia in Kharadar, with traffic deviations instead.

In addition, the government has deployed additional surveillance cameras to improve security. In Islamabad, the main procession will begin with Imambargah Qasar Zainabya.
