The general director of Public Relations between Services (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has provided detailed information on Indian air attacks that affected multiple civil sites in Pakistan during the night, resulting in eight deaths and 33 injuries.
Speaking during an early informative session on Wednesday, the ISPR DG condemned Indian action as an act of unprovoked and cowardly aggression. “Last night, Cowardly India launched 24 attacks in six places inside Pakistan, which resulted in the martyrdom of eight innocent civilians,” he said.
He said five civilians, including a girl, were killed only in Ahmadpur East. In Muzaffarabad, the bilation mosque was attacked, which caused injuries to a child and damaged the structure. The Abbas mosque in Kotli was also beaten, while another mosque in Muridke was beaten, killing a civilian and hurting another.
In other areas, an artillery shell landed in the Kotli Loharaan village near Sialkot, and a dispensary in Shakargarh suffered damage.
“Pakistan’s army is delivering a strong and comprehensive response to this unfounded Indian aggression,” said the DG ISPR, added that all the media would be taken to the areas affected during the day to expose the “naked aggression of India” to the world.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s right to defend his sovereignty and made it clear that the military’s response was already underway.
