A truck immersed himself in a drain in Kasur alleging the lives of at least eight people and wounding two other wounds.

The incident took place near Raiwind, since 10 people returned from a wedding on Friday, local media reported.

The local police said the vehicle, which was a cover truck, lost control and fell into the drain.

Rescue teams, including 1122 rescue staff, quickly responded to the scene and transported Kasur’s Bababa Shah Shah Hospital to receive treatment. According to reports, the two survivors are in stable condition. The victims were identified as members of the same group who attended the wedding.

Police investigation suggests that the excess speed could have been the cause of the accident, and the driver has been arrested. However, a rescue 1122 statement said the driver had felt sleepy at the time of the accident.

Last week, at least 16 people lost their lives when two public transport vehicles that transport pilgrims to Sehwan from Burewala, Punjab, found mortal accidents in the districts of Khairpur and Shaheed Benazirabad on Saturday.

In the first accident, a bus overturned while trying to avoid a Rickshaw on the national road in the Ranipur area of the Khairpur district, killing 10 people and wounding about 40.

Khairpur’s SSP Tauheed Mecon said the bus transported the devotees of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA) to Sehwan, where the annual three -day US will begin on February 17.

He attributed the accident at excessive speed, saying that the driver lost control while trying to divert a Rickshaw.

The deceased and injured were taken to government hospitals in Gambat and Ranipur. Some of the wounds suffered by serious fractures.

Local residents, rescue 1122 teams, police, national police personnel and highways, volunteers of Rangers and Edhi helped recover bodies and transfer the injured to the hospitals.

In another tragic incident, a truck that transported Burewala residents from Shaheed Benazirabad to Sehwan crashed into a truck driver after colliding with a donkey car in Aamri Road, near Qazi Ahmed Taluka, killing six people and hurting others eight.

The pilgrims had initially arrived at Shaheed Benazirabad by train before continuing their trip to Sehwan in the unfortunate truck.

The dead and injured were taken to the Taluka hospital in Qazi Ahmed, with the most critical that later transferred to the Peoples Medical College hospital in Nawabshah.
