
At least eight people died and two other critical wounds after his truck immersed himself in a ravine in the Kasur district on Friday.
The accident took place near Khara Morr in Raiwind Road. The passengers of the unfortunate truck were members of a music group. They were back from Raiwind after maintaining a function.
Rescue officials said the accident occurred when the vehicle deviated from the road and crashed into the water.
Rescue officials also said that the accident took place due to the negligence of the driver who probably fell asleep while driving.
The emergency teams rushed to the scene and transferred the bodies and wounded to the Bulleh Shah district hospital.
Hospital’s sources said two of the injured are in critical condition.
Police counted Geographical news that the investigations have been launched and the identification process had begun.
At least 18 people lost their lives and another 1,496 suffered injuries in 1,306 traffic accidents in all Punjab districts during the last 24 hours, according to The news report.
Of the victims, 612 people with serious injuries were transferred to different hospitals, according to the report. Meanwhile, 884 victims with minor injuries were treated at the site of the incident by rescue medical teams.
