At least eight people were burned to death and several other wounds when a passenger bus hit a vehicle that transported Iranian oil on the CPEC National Highway in the Baluchistan Panjgur district on Saturday.
According to the police, the collision caused a mass fire that involved both vehicles. Initially, it was reported that the accident was charged five lives, but the toll increased to six after one of the injured succumbed before being transferred to the hospital. Rescue officials said that the bodies and injured were immediately transported to the Panjgur Teaching Hospital, where the treatment of survivors is underway. They confirmed that the rescue operation on the site has been completed.

The tragedy has once again underlined the serious road safety challenges in Baluchistan, where the deterioration of the infrastructure and the poorly maintained vehicles frequently lead to fatal accidents. Residents and officials have urged the administration to implement more strict security measures along the CPEC road to avoid such incidents.
In early June, a tragic incident took at least six lives and left more than ten injured when a passenger bus suddenly caught fire near the Western Bypass in Quetta, the provincial capital of Baluchistan.
The rescue teams ran to the site and transferred the injured to nearby hospitals to receive urgent medical treatment.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire exploded during the trip, causing panic and chaos among passengers. The rescue personnel managed to save several people through rapid action, but unfortunately, six people succumbed to their wounds.
