The ESPN presenter, Elle Duncan, caught some criticisms for a particularly crude comment during the transmission of the WNBA stars game.
It was for part time when Duncan commented on the offensive production of both teams.
“We hope it becomes a little more competitive,” Duncan said after seeing the Neaphesa Collier team put 82 points at the 60s of Caitlin Clark in the first half. “Because, like a girl trip to Cancun at this time, there are no D.”

ESPN analyst Chiney Ogwumike said quickly: “Elle, you’re waiting time. You’ve finished.” Then, the transmission went to the commercial.
Duncan does not regret your comments despite vitriol on social networks. During an appearance in “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz”, he defended his comment.
“My thing with Cancun’s joke is that I feel that every time I say something, it is sometimes a reintroduction for some people who clearly do not know my work in the last 10 years,” said Duncan, according to Awful Announce.
“I am like, ‘brother, I said in the air once you celebrate too early, it is called premature that I am a jacked shot.’ As, I can’t really imagine that this is worse than that.

“So, I thought it was nonsense. I thought it was fun. Some people do not agree. Some people definitely agree. But it is what it is. As, yes, the girls say raw jokes too.”
Duncan also addressed a specific part of the comments.

“The fun part for me, all of you, have been the people who say: ‘What are I supposed to tell my children?'” Duncan added. “I am like, ‘Well, if you have to talk to your children about the fact that’ D ‘is a word of jargon for a penis, then I hope to help you have that conversation with your son who is old enough to see basketball.” Because my 4 -year -old son knows what a penis is.
“It is so dumb for me. The idea that, like this, it is innovative or somehow completely inappropriate in the landscape in which we live at this time is simply wild for me. I was a bit fly, to be real.”
When Duncan’s comment went viral on social networks, many quickly commented with frustration.
“Add this to a long list of why nobody takes seriously @WNBA or @espn,” said an X user under a video of Duncan, published by Awful announcing.

“If Shane Gillis said that, they would try to cancel it,” another wrote, referring to the comedian’s monologue who caught the attention last week.
When the second half finally began, there was more offense than the defense once again. Collier led the way with 36 points to help his team beat Clark, 151-131, to win the star game.
