Ellen Degeneres is “disconsolate” for the death of his dog, Augie.
Taking his Instagram handle on Saturday, the 67 -year -old retired comedian announced the death of his dog, which he rescued 12 years ago.
“We had to say goodbye to Augie yesterday. We rescued it 12 years ago, and it was very grateful,” Elle wrote while sharing a series of photos of Augie.
“He gave us so much love. We will miss him. There will never be another like him,” he added.
In one of the shared images, you can see Ellen’s companion, Portia de Rossi, curled up with the little dog.
A few days later, the comedian returned to Instagram and published a clip of herself, Portia, and Augie filmed a month before her death.
“We filmed this last month and planned to publish it today,” he wrote in the subtitle.
“I don’t care what Portia says, please, don’t call me the queen of treatment. We love you, Augie,” Ellen added.
