In an interview with DeadlineThe American writer spoke frankly about what fans can expect from season 5.
“I think we have a really excellent season,” he began by saying. “We filmed in Rome during the first four weeks, and that was an exciting experience to be there. Now we are back in Paris, Emily is definitely back in Paris.”
The series follows Emily Cooper’s adventures, a young American who moved to Paris, while sailing for her new career, relationship and life in a foreign city.
Meanwhile, Star argued that the main member of the cast, Camille Razat, who had been a regular series during the first four seasons as Camille, decided not to return for season 5.
Referring to his story ending naturally when he decided to leave Paris, he told The Outlet: “I think his story had a natural finish, his love life is always complicated.”
The cast that returns for season 5 includes Lucien Laviscount, William Abadie, Samuel Arnold, Ashley Park, Bruno Gouyery and Philippines Leroy-Beaulieu.
When heading on the return of Lucas Bravo, who played former Beau de Camille, Darren Star concluded: “We have Marcello, Lucas Bravo will return this season, so we have some interesting and surprising developments in terms of his love life.”
