Emma Stone praised the acting prowess of her old friend and fellow actress Jennifer Lawrence.
In a new interview with The New Yorker magazine, the The The Earth The actress explained why Jennifer is so captivating on screen.
“She just becomes that, like a child actor. The circumstances around you are real. Participate in them. That’s what everyone wishes they could do,” Emma explained.
The 36-year-old actress later mentioned a theatrical adage: If an actor appears on stage with a cat, most of the audience will look at the cat.
“The public looked at the cat,” explained the poor things star. “Because she’s going to respond genuinely in the moment, while the actors are still acting. It’s that quality. Jen is the cat.”
For those who don’t know, Emma and Jennifer have been best friends for years. In fact, the two actresses met through their mutual friend, Woody Harrelson.
On the professional front, Emma is currently busy promoting her upcoming film, Bugonia.
The film will be released in theaters on October 31, 2025. Other cast members of the film include Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias and Alicia Silverstone.
