Emotional message from Queen Elizabeth II to Archie and Lilibet generates speculation

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could possibly have found a way to return to the royal fold as Queen Elizabeth II’s heartbreaking request emerges.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left their senior royal roles in 2020 and have maintained complaints about how they were treated compared to other members of the family. Although the Queen insisted that “recollections may vary,” she still kept the door open for the Sussexes, especially her great-grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

New details about the matriarch’s final days are revealed in royal author Robert Hardman’s upcoming book, which pulls back the curtain on Elizabeth’s heartfelt plea and clear message to her grandchildren.

Before she breathed her last at Balmoral in September 2022, Elizabeth was already feeling “too tired” for many commitments due to her ongoing treatments. Therefore, he had been saving it for one last reunion with his beloved despite the latent divisions.

One of the officials revealed that Elizabeth was “very brave” during her final days and before leaving for Edinburgh, she held the final round of audiences and a Privy Council meeting.

“We had a private talk at the end,” a source said of the meeting. “I felt a little emotional when I left because, well, it felt like goodbye.”

They continued: “She had some very clear messages about how she thought things would be in the future. Very clear indeed!”

The source revealed that all of Queen’s great-grandchildren, including the Sussex children along with William and Kate’s three children, were invited to Balmoral at some point in the summer.

“She wanted to make sure everyone had a really happy memory of her,” a family friend said. However, the late Queen somehow knew that Harry and Meghan would not be able to attend.

This could potentially mean there was a way back for the Sussexes if they had taken the risk at the time. King Charles could be following his mother’s dying wishes along with his own longing to meet his grandchildren as de-escalations reportedly take place between Buckingham Palace and Montecito.

Meanwhile, it also remains to be seen how the situation develops for the King’s grandchildren.
