- Epson presents Readyprint Max, Bundling Printers and ink through the subscription
- The plans can be customized according to their printing needs, including the number of pages
- Ship ink automatically and the printer must remain online to track the use
Epson has introduced a new way for users to access the impression, through a subscription model that looks a lot like how many people already pay for telephones or transmission services.
The new ReadyPrint Max Plan offers customers an EcoTank printer along with regular ink deliveries, starting from as low as the equivalent of $ 7.99 per month for a 50 -page plan.
The model eliminates the need for initial costs, which makes it easier to start printing without a large initial purchase.
A constant ink supply
After selecting a printer that suits their needs, users choose a page plan based on how much they hope to print. The company sends the printer and monitor the ink levels remotely, delivering new ink before it runs out.
Readyprint Max is compatible with a range of Epson Ecank printers. The models differ in features and price points, covering the basic printing of the home until the use of the highest volume office.
Options such as Ecank ET-2870U and ET-M1170 focus on low-cost printing, while others such as ET-5850u and ET-16650u are aimed at users who need faster speeds, greater capacity or A3 impressions.
The plans are scale with use, offering monthly assignments of 50 to 3,000 pages. Users can change their plan every month if their needs change, and once the 18 -month commitment ends, subscriptions can continue monthly.
As expected, early cancellation rates are applied if a user leaves before the minimum period increases, although Epson offers a 14 -day cancellation window at the beginning.
To keep everything working without problems, the printer must be kept connected to the Internet, allowing firmware and ink monitoring updates.
The ink is delivered proactively, so users do not need to worry about asking for recharges. If a customer chooses to finish the plan, the printer must be returned in good condition to avoid a penalty.
Readyprint Max reflects a change towards services based on services, which gives users flexibility on how they access and manage printing at home or in the office. It is currently offered in selected European countries, including the United Kingdom and Germany, and it is expected to be launched in the United States, which already has Readyprint.
