The best ultra short launch projectors are quite bright, but they are generally not entirely this Bright: The new short laser projector Epson QS100 4K Pro-UHD HDR takes away the a whopping 4,500 lumens.
For the context, our 4K number one laser projector is the PX3-ProS, and that is 3,000 lumens, so we are talking about an impulse of 50% of the Epson.
That brightness gives you great power, which allows you to project images of up to 160 inches of size only centimeters away. But a key HDR characteristic is missing: it has no Dolby Vision HDR to help make the most of that brightness.
Epson QS100’s short laser projector: what you need to know
This is not the brightest projector you will see in 2025: the LG9 Laser TV is brighter with 5,000 nits, but you can actually buy the Epson; The Hisense does not yet have a release date.
And it is much brighter than our recommended projector for day and sports visualization, the 4,000 Lumen Epson Epiqvision Ultra LS800.
The HDR here admits the HDR10 and HLG standards, and there is a dynamic tone mapping for the frame optimization frame, but as I mentioned earlier, it would be better if it came with a Dolby vision to provide a more precise mapping mapping and ensure that all that brightness is really well optimized in a bisina scene.
The light source is classified by 20,000 from the “practically no maintenance” operation, and if it is a player, there is support for the low latency mode for low -delay games. However, there is no 120Hz support of any kind here: it is 60Hz at all times, even at 1080p.
The Epson has individually adjustable feet, multi -point image settings and an optional wall assembly support, and is designed to play well with Crestron, Control4 and control systems compatible with PJLink.
As expected, there is a considerable price label for that super brilliant screen: the MRSP is $ 4,999 (around £ 3,870 / au $ 7,920), which is a step ahead of the $ 3,499 / £ 3,199 / au $ 4,999 of the Ultra LS800. Even so, if you want something that dazzles even among the best projectors, you will have to pay it.
