Ethereum’s co -founder, Anthony Di Iorio, shared Thursday that he believes that the block chain was not necessarily aimed at being a “competitor for Bitcoin”, but “was destined to be an alternative.”
Speaking to a crowd in consensus 2025, Di Iorio shared with the audience about his time during the first days of Ethereum, pointing at that time that he understood that the project could become a great movement. “We could feel and feel that I was picking up,” said Di Iorio.
Di Iorio was one of the eight co -founders of Ethereum Blockchain, but originally got into the cryptocurrency through his defense with Bitcoin. Bitcoin Meetupps began in Toronto in 2012, and through that he met Vitalik Buterin, who came up with the technical document of Ethereum and shared it with his co -founders.
While Di Iorio is still a great defender of Bitcoin, he said that “I think Ethereum has the possibility of advancing in terms of market capitalization.”
“With the number of use cases and the value that Ethereum is allowing to be created, I think it has that opportunity, to possibly overcome it,” added Di Iorio.
After getting away from the Ethereum Foundation, Anthony Di Iorio founded Dentral in 2014, which is better known for creating the cryptographic wallet Jaxx Liberty. In 2022, Andiami launched, a project that combines hardware, tokenomic and games theory to address centralization vectors within decentralized networks.
