The Evacuee Trust (ETPB) Board has announced the schedule for two main sijs religious events that will be held in Pakistan this month, despite continuous tensions and the continuous suspension of the cross -border movement between India and Pakistan.
According to the official schedule, the anniversary of the death of Guru Arjan Dev Ji (Jor Mela) will commemorate on June 16 in Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore. The anniversary of the death of Maharaja Ranjit Singh will be observed on June 29 in his Samadhi, also located in Lahore.
Sij pilgrims from around the world, including India, have been invited to attend. However, due to tense diplomatic ties, it is unlikely that India will issue the required non -objection certificates (NOC) so that Indian pilgrims travel to Pakistan, according to sources.
Pakistan has expressed his willingness to facilitate cross -border pilgrimage. The ETPB has ended all the necessary arrangements for possible arrivals, including security, accommodation and transport in key religious sites.
If India grants travel permits, the first group of pilgrims are expected to arrive on foot through the Wagah border on Monday, June 9. The group will begin its pilgrimage in Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of the Guru Nanak Dev Ji, and will visit Gurdwaras Local during a two -day stay.
Then, the pilgrims will proceed to Gurdwara Sacha Sauda in Farooqabad, followed by a visit to Hassan Abdal on June 11. They are scheduled to stay in Gurdwara Panja Sahib on June 12 and is expected to visit the nearby Sanctuary of Muslim Saint Baba Wali Qandhari.
On June 13, the group will travel to Nanowal to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, staying until June 14. They will go to Lahore through Gurdwara Rori Sahibad in Eminabad on June 15.
The main religious ceremony for the martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, including the ritual Bhog Akhand Path Sahib, will take place on June 16 in Gurdwara Dera Sahib. The pilgrims will remain in Lahore on June 17 and will return to India through Wagah on June 18.
A second group of Indian pilgrims is scheduled to arrive on Sunday, June 22 for the anniversary of the death of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. They will begin their visit to Nankana Sahib on June 23 before traveling to Hassan Abdal through Farooqabad on June 24.
The group will stay in Gurdwara Panja Sahib on June 25, Visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur from June 26 to 27, and will travel to Lahore on June 28. The main ceremony in the Samadhi of Maharaja Ranjit Singh will take place on June 29, with the Bhog Akhand Sahib.
The pilgrims will spend on June 30 at Lahore and leave for India on July 1, 2025.
ETPB officials said that all arrangements have been made to guarantee a safe, comfortable and spiritual experience for pilgrims, depending on Indian approval for cross -border trips.
