EU antitrust regulators to decide on Google’s acquisition of Wiz

  • The EU decision will be made before February 10; the US investigation is still ongoing
  • Google’s $32 billion acquisition of Wiz would be the largest to date
  • Wiz promises to “remain a multi-cloud platform”

European antitrust regulators at the bloc’s Commission will issue a formal decision on Google’s acquisition of Wiz as soon as February 10, according to PakGazette information.

Valued at $32 billion, if the deal were to go through it would be the largest acquisition ever made by Alphabet, but it is not just European regulation that is holding the deal back.
