A Frontier Airlines flight was disrupted this week when a passenger erupted into a profanity-filled outburst at a flight attendant, accusing her of bias and “provoking” her, before being calmly removed from the plane.
The incident was filmed by another passenger in which it is clearly seen that a woman began to heal the crew member loudly.
The passenger repeatedly claimed that the flight attendant had “a problem with minorities” and stated that she expected “a little more kindness and respect.”
The outburst started from a mundane question which was “Are you from Florida?” which the passenger interrupted as he considered it disrespectful.
The flight attendant remained calm and confident throughout the exchange. She calmly addressed him and said, “I don’t know what you went through today” and firmly stated, “you are in control of your own actions.”
The passenger then continued her tirade with continuous shouts of bad words in an area with children.
She ordered a colleague to call security and informed the passenger that she would be removed from the flight.
Another passenger on the plane raised his hand in a gesture of solidarity, supporting the crew member’s handling of the situation.
The cabin erupted in cheers when it was announced that the disruptive woman would be removed from the plane.
The passenger was later escorted off the plane by security personnel.
Industry observers note that while incidents of passenger misconduct occur on all airlines, they are frequently reported on ultra-low-cost airlines like Frontier.
