A former police sub -inspector has been accused of kidnapping, illegal confinement, torture and extorted money from a Pakistani businessman based in the EAU.

According to a spokesman, Rehan was fired from the service three months ago due to the prolonged absenteeism, and has no affiliation with the police department.

The alleged victim, the businessman Sajjad Ahmed, informed that the former inspector’s telephone numbers remain active, and continues to press it to solve the matter.

However, the police have not yet arrested Rehan or his associates.

When the victim approached the police, the CPO of Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani realized and ordered immediate legal actions.

Subsequently, the Rawat police registered a case against the former inspector and his four accomplices.

According to Sajjad Ahmed, who directs businesses in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, had arrived in Pakistan to work and returned to his residence in a private housing society in Rawalpindi when he was intercepted near Lake View Junction.

A group of men, including Khan with a police uniform and three others with simple clothes, stopped their vehicle under the pretext of verifying the documents.

After verifying his documents and his weapon license, “they sat by force in the back of the car and began to attack it.”

Then he was taken to a two -story house where he continued torture, he told the police in his complaint.

Rehan Khan allegedly extorted the victim’s money, transferring RS50,000 to his own account, taking 70,000 in cash, 4,500 dirhams and value of the car, including the gift boxes, a MacBook, the original vehicle record, two perfumes, a 30 cost gun and its license.

“After looting him, the suspects left him back in the place with threats,” he told the police.

A Rawalpindi police spokesman confirmed that after receiving the complaint, CPO Hamdani ordered a FIR against Rehan Khan and his accomplices under charges of robbery, illegal confinement and his public employee.

The spokesman clarified that Rehan had been fired from the service three months before due to prolonged absence and no longer occupied any official position.

“An investigation is being carried out based on merit, and the defendant will be arrested and processed,” he said.

However, the victim expressed his frustration, stating that, despite the fact that the telephone numbers of the former officer who were active and his pressure to “establish” the matter, the police have not yet made any arrest.
