Ex-dg sbca is cleaned in the nasla tower case

Karachi:

The Anti -Corruption Provincial Court has acquitted the former director general of the Building Control Authority of Sindh (SBCA) Manzoor Kaka and others in the case of land allocation of the Nasla Tower due to the lack of evidence. The court ruled that the Prosecutor’s Office did not prove the accusations.

The Supreme Court had ordered the demolition of the Nasla Tower in February 2022, declaring it an illegal structure.

It was alleged that the defendants had assigned land to the builder illegally, diverting from the approved plans. However, the Prosecutor’s Office could not present solid evidence, which led to acquittal.
