Karachi:
Former Judge Ahmed Ali Gabol has presented a constitutional request that seeks the elimination of the governor of Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori of the position. The petitioner requested the immediate dismissal of Governor Tessori, arguing that he has violated the constitutional oath of impartiality.
According to the petition, the governor has promoted politics ethnicly and, while sitting with the leadership of MQM, has talked about ethnic and provincial divisions. In addition, he declared that the governor spoke speeches in the governor’s house and other places, in which he allegedly suggested to separate Karachi from Sindh.
The petition argues that Governor Tessori tried to encourage linguistic hatred by invoking the Urdu speech community. This conduct, argues, violates articles 4, 2, 25 and 32 of the Constitution of Pakistan, which guarantee provincial equality and harmony. The petitioner also cited decisions of the Supreme Court that prevent the use of state offices for political agendas.

The petition is declared that, according to article 101 (3) of the Constitution, the president of Pakistan must eliminate the Governor Tesori from the position. He maintains that the Government is a non -political position, but Tessori has been using both its position and the governor’s house for the interests of a specific political party.
The petition requires that the Governor of Sindh be confirmed as a symbol of federal unity and provincial harmony. The Secretary of Law and Justice of the Federation, the Cabinet Division of the Secretary and the main secretary of the Governor of Sindh have been surveyed in the case.
