Lego has already had a busy 2026: from the introduction of Smart Play to the launch of multiple star wars themed sets for the mandalorian and grogu – but now he’s turning his attention to one of his longest-running originals as Toy Fair 2026 kicks off in New York City.
TechRadar can exclusively reveal the Lego Ninjago X-1 Ninja Charger 15th Anniversary set, a 2-in-1 remake celebrating 15 years of the long-running theme. The 691-piece build arrives August 1, 2026 for $89.99/UK/AUS and is a nostalgic build with some awesome play elements.
First released in 2011, Ninjago has become one of Lego’s most enduring themes, spanning over a decade of television seasons and making waves. The set not only recreates an iconic vehicle, but, like the original, hides one. Once built, you will be able to open the hood and see a motorcycle underneath that can launch from the vehicle.
At $89.99 with a suggestion for ages 14 and up, the
Lego also includes three minifigures, led by a 15th anniversary exclusive Shadow Elemental Master, notably the last collectible minifigure in the anniversary line. For collectors looking for every commemorative character, this is the only place to find it.
The X-1 Ninja Charger revisits the original 70727 version that was launched in 2014 and maintains the characteristic “vehicle within a vehicle” concept.
Between Smart Play’s push toward interactive play and a strong run of licensed releases this year, Lego’s 2026 line has leaned heavily toward innovation and nostalgia. The X-1 Ninja Charger combines the two: paying homage to 15 years of Ninjago while updating a classic design for today’s builders.
