Explosion near the Jan Muhammad de Quetta road


At least 10 people were injured in an explosion near Jan Mohammad Road in Quetta, Express News reported citing the police.

Police declared that the explosion occurred when explosive material was planted on a motorcycle.

The immediate rescue operations followed, and the injured were transferred to the hospital to receive treatment. The authorities confirmed that until now deaths have been reported.

A search operation has been launched in the area to determine the cause of the attack and the people behind it.

The explosion in Quetta occurred only a few hours after a suicide bombing in Akora Khattak, District of Nowshera, in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

The attack in the Darul Uuloom Mosque Haqqania killed at least four people, including Maulana Hamidul Haqqani, the chief of Jui-S.

A dozen others were injured in the explosion, which took place after Friday’s prayers. Police officers confirmed that Maulana Haqqani was probably the main objective of the attack.
