- Expressvpn mobile applications have just received an important redesign
- This important update comes only a few days after the supplier launched its new Aircoveos V5.3
- Both updates promise to offer faster and faster performances
ExpressvPN now promises an even better experience for users after publishing some important updates about some of their applications.
The first to undergo a renovation has been its router with a built -in VPN, Aircove. The Aircoveos V5.3 The update presented on May 22, 2025, now brings a more intuitive design to better manage all its characteristics and marking settings.
Only a few days later, Expressvpn has now also launched a completely redesigned version of its mobile applications. However, ethos is the same: make the VPN “faster, smarter and easier to use on both platforms,” explains the supplier.
New Mobile Applications of Expressvpn
Despite being one of the best VPN services thanks to its reliable performance and easy -to -use applications, the ExpressvPN team has decided to further improve the experience for mobile users.
Both their VPN iOS and Android applications now offer a cleaner and more fast design (see the image below) so that the general experience is more intuitive.
This includes a new built -in speed test tool that allows users to verify how the VPN server is connected in real time and discover what the fastest option may be. This could be advantageous for those who use ExpressvPN as a transmission or game VPN.
The redesign also includes a new map view for the first time, helping more visual users to have an idea of where they are connected, especially when they need to change the location often.
With this update, the smart location of Expressvpn, a feature that connects it to the best location of the server automatically, also promises to be even “smarter.”
“Use the speed, latency and distance to suggest the best servers for you, you will also see the 3-5 fastest locations at the top of your list,” explains the supplier in a blog post.
Finally, iPhone VPN users now have the option to choose OpenVPN as their chosen protocol, in addition to Lightway and Ikev2 of the supplier.
“Lightway remains our favorite protocol for speed, reliability and security, but we know that a size does not fit everyone. Adding OpenVPn to iOS gives more flexibility and control,” said the supplier.
The team began to implement this update on May 27 and said it would be available to all users before May 30.
Expressvpn Aircoveos V5.3
Aircove and Aircove Go renewal has a simple objective: strengthen central infrastructure to make the user experience more stable and easier.
“Whether you are transmitting, managing multiple devices or configuring your router for the first time, you will spend less problem solving time and more time enjoying the Internet safely,” said the supplier in his official announcement.
To achieve this, the team implemented a series of technical corrections, including the update of some key system components such as the Linux nucleus and Wi-Fi controllers, as well as the improvement of Internal hardware component management. You can find the complete technical details here.
However, what you can expect is a faster experience when you set up the options of your devices, thanks to less required displacement and the ease of configuring the vpn location directly when creating a group of devices.
Group management was also easier, thanks to the improved skills to drag and release and a new drop -down option. The supplier explains that these changes would be especially advantageous on mobile devices and tablets.
The useful configuration tips and the softest animations would also facilitate the new users of VPN routers.
The improvements for the Wi-Fi link and parental controls are also among the new launch batches that are presented for Aircove users, so stay tuned.
