Fair price stores for Ramadan relief to establish in Islamabad

In an attempt to provide relief to citizens during the Sacred Month of Ramadan, the Islamabad district administration has announced the establishment of 17 fair price stores throughout the city.

The initiative will allow residents to buy essential food from wholesale rates, Express News reported.

The locations for stores have been carefully chosen to guarantee accessibility for the public. Notable areas include G-9 Center, I-8, F-8, E-11, F-10, F-11, G-13 and Barakahu. In addition, fair price stores will also be established in areas such as Bhara Kahu, Bani Gala, Pakistan Town, F-7, F-6, G-6, G-7, Lehtarar Road and I-11/4.

The administration of Islamabad has delegated responsibilities to all commissioners attending to supervise the operation without problems of these points of sale, ensuring that residents can take advantage of subsidized prices during Ramadan.

This movement is expected to provide very necessary relief to citizens, especially during the month when food demand generally increases.

In addition, the Punjab government issued a notification that reviewed school times for public and private institutions during the Sacred Month of Ramadan.

According to the notification, schools will begin at 8:30 am and close at 1:00 pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. On Fridays, schools will close at 12:30 pm for double change schools, the first turn will work from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, while the second turn will begin at 1:00 pm and end at 4:00 pm

Fridays, the second turn will begin at 2:30 pm and will conclude at 5:00 pm
