Authorities told WCNC in Charlotte that the crash occurred along North Carolina Highway 73 in eastern Lincoln County.

Julia Suarez was driving west on the highway and was going to turn left when she was rear-ended and pushed into the eastbound lanes, hitting two other vehicles in the process, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol told the station. The three occupants of the vehicle were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
