A man who fell at 21 feet from the stands in PNC Park in Pittsburgh to the warning track on Wednesday night was in critical condition, authorities said.
The incident occurred at the bottom of the seventh entry in the right garden on what is known as the Clemente wall, in honor of Roberto Clemente. The man seemed to encourage the double of two races of the star of the pirates of Andrew McCutchen when he turned his railing and went down to the ground. He lay on his back while the medical staff hastened to attend him.

“Tonight, during the seventh entry of the game in PNC Park, an adult man fell from the stands of the right field on the playing field,” the pirates said in a statement.
“Pittsburgh EMS, as well as pirates and puppies training teams and other PNC Park personnel reacted and responded immediately and administered attention. It was transported to the Allegheny General Hospital. There is no more information available at this time.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.”
Pittsburgh Public Safety then issued a statement in X.
“The VCU detectives of the Pittsburgh Police are investigating after a man fell 20 feet from the stands in PNC Park on the playing field during the game @pirates,” the officials said.
“The Pittsburgh Ems field doctors treated him at the scene until he could be transported to the hospital in critical condition.”

The pirates manager Derek Shelton, and the manager of the Chicago puppies, Craig Counsell, were among those who alerted the referees of the situation during the work.
“Although it is 350 feet away or whatever, I mean how it went down and then lying down without motionless while the work continues, I want to say that Craig saw her, I saw it. We both went there,” Shelton said. “I think the referees saw him because of the way he kicked. It is extremely unfortunate. That is euphemism.”
The puppies players were among those who knelt while watching the man placed on a board and entering the medical cart.
“I didn’t see anything happened, but I saw the face (from Counsell) when he went out to the field, and I realized that it was a very scary moment,” said the puppies star, Dansby Swanson. “All we could do was pray for a good and strong recovery for him and his family. He had never been part of something like that before and I hope he will never be part of something like that again.
“It is a humble reminder of the gratitude that we should all have to play this game. People obviously go out to support us, and they are a great reason why we can do what we do. It is obviously difficult. At a time like that, you want (fans) to know that they love them.”
