At least 11 family members were killed in a tragic road accident in Dera Ismail Khan after the brakes of their vehicle failed on the road to Danish, the authorities said Thursday.
The family was traveling from Khanazai in Baluchistan when the accident occurred. Rescue 1122 teams ran to the site and recovered seven bodies, including five women, one man and a child.
All the deceased were transferred to a nearby hospital, while the efforts continued to track and recover the remaining victims.
Three individuals were injured, who received first aid at the site and then moved to the Hospital of the Headquarters of the District of Ismail Khan. The injured people included Darya Khan, 27, Yousaf, 10, and Ahmad, 25.

The emergency officers of the Fasaehullah district expressed a deep pain and sadness for this tragic accident, and prayed for the deceased.
Accidents have become increasingly common in Pakistan, due to a multitude of reasons. Bad road conditions, reckless driving and loose monitoring of traffic rules.
