Jhelum:
The former Federal Minister, Fawad Chaudhry, blamed the refusal to accept the electoral decision of the public for political instability of the country.
He affirmed that the ongoing protests throughout the country are a direct consequence of this situation, emphasizing that the only solution lies in all the political forces that are joined for dialogue.
“Imran Khan’s political stature cannot be recognized at gunpoint,” he added.
Speaking in Jhelum, he advised the Government to initiate conversations with the Great Opposition Alliance to navigate the country of the current crisis.
“The great opposition alliance is in its final stages and will soon be presented before the public.”
He revealed that the alliance includes key political figures such as Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others.
Going to both the government and the establishment, Fawad emphasized the need for an environment conducive to negotiations.
He asked to grant the founder of PTI imprisoned Imran Khan his due rights and facilities, including family visits, as a step towards the decallation of political tensions.
“The dialogue can only take place when the political atmosphere is improved,” he said, warning that continuous arrests and imprisonment of opposition figures would make negotiations impossible.
He urged the government and the establishment to assume responsibility for reducing political temperatures and formally committing to the opposition in conversations.
