LAHORE:
The Chief of Jui-F, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has rejected the Gaza Peace Plan of 20 points in Gaza of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, maintaining that no peace plan is acceptable, if it is proposed without consulting the Palestinians and Hamas.
“The United States is leaving Hamas aside in negotiations. Hamas is a main part of the dispute. The Palestinian problem cannot be solved without him,” Fazl said on Tuesday while heading to the media in Lahore. “Eliminating Hamas from conversations makes a lasting solution impossible,” he said.
President Trump said Monday the support of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for a peace proposal sponsored by the United States to end a genocidal war of almost two years in Gaza.
Speaking with reference to the plan, Fazl said that a solution of two states that effectively equals to recognize Israel would be unacceptable unless the Palestinians and Hamas are included in the agreement.
He stressed that until the Palestinians themselves decide the future of Palestine, they should not be imposed a solution; A solution of two states on the Palestinian people cannot be forced.
He said that the United States, and Trump in particular, have been pushing their will throughout the world, which is not moral or politically correct. Commenting on the idea that Trump could receive a Nobel Peace Prize, he said that it was possible only if there was a category of “Nobel War Award.”
Referring to the conference of main commanders chaired by the Marshal Syed also on October 17, he told the listeners to compare what was said there with the statements of Prime Minister Shahbaz in New York.
He also criticized the differences between the discourse of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to the UN General Assembly and his posterior tweet, saying that such weak positions would leave the Arab world defeated. He said that no one in Pakistan could even consider recognizing Israel.
He said that Pakistan’s recent defense cooperation -Saudi alone could not solve the Palestinian problem. He also suggested that India’s interests influence some governments, which implies the fear that the United States could bow towards India.
The Chief of Jui-F said that the capacity of the titular government to complete its term depended on the establishment. “If your relationships remain good, the term will be completed, otherwise it will not,” he said, adding that former Prime Minister Imran Khan must be released.
Fazl said Israel is an illegitimate state and will never be accepted.
